Me Fine Foundation, Inc. will host it’s fourth annual Purse Gala on Sunday, Feb. 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Featuring a live auction of unique, one-of-a-kind and designer purses, including items donated by celebrities and designers nationwide, the Purse Gala is the perfect opportunity to purchase that perfect gift for the women (and men!) in your life, or to spend an afternoon supporting a good cause. Beginning as an afternoon gathering of women in Clayton, N.C., the event was held in Cary for the past two years. This year, however, the Purse Gala moves to The Cotton Room at Golden Belt, Durham’s newest event venue.

Me Fine is a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to parents and caregivers, sacrificing their livelihoods to provide their children with state-of-the-art, or last-chance medical treatment at Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals.

The Purse Gala is Me Fine’s strongest annual fundraiser, and garners donations from such celebrities as Paula Deen and the cast of One Tree Hill, as well as local shops and department stores, such as Uniquities and Saks Fifth Avenue, and well-known designers like Marc Jacobs. A signature wallet boutique will be added this year, so those attending can purchase gifts for the men in their lives.
